The Home page of any company’s website is the Key piece to the company online marketing campaign. The overall content of the company’s website should complement the company brand. The content should be up dated often to keep the website fresh. The more professional and useful the content appears, the more credible the company’s product or service becomes to customers.

When creating a web presences for the company website try to make the content entertaining, informative and/or have a sense of community. Creating valuable content can give the website more credibility, as well as position the company as an industry expert. However, this is no easy task. There are a few time saving and cost efficient ways a small company can keep the company website updated and fresh.

A common low cost and effective way to keep the company website fresh is to design five to ten different home pages, which can be rotated monthly. When coming up with the various home pages, think about the different holidays or monthly promotions the company offers.

The home page can be used as a testing ground for the company’s offline marketing efforts. Potential newspaper or magazine ads can be placed on the home page to be tested and tracked to see which attracts interest or generates sales.
